The alarming growing rate of hunger in Nigeria is of concern to all men of goodwill. It is therefore out of this concern that the THE MARIAN SOUP KITCHEN was born as a pointer to our lord’s compassion for the down trodden as was written in the scriptures ,” for I was hungry, and you gave me to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink…e.t.c ” Matt.25:35-36.
The center is non-discriminatory as it open to everybody irrespective of tribe, race, status, religion or gender, this humanitarian project belongs to humanity.
This center is the concept of Rev. Fr. Dr. Willy Ojukwu of the catholic Arch Diocese of Abuja.
He intends to restore human respect, dignity, happiness and hope to the homeless, poor, needy, widow handicap etc.They should know that God loves them in spite of it all.
The Marian soup kitchen exists to help and carter for the poor, needy, widows and the less privileged of our nation’s capital and beyond.
This center hopes to meet as much as we can, the immediate daily needs of the people we serve in providing food, drink and clothes. the center tries to deal holistically with the spiritual and physical needs of beneficiaries through instructions ,counseling and assisting also in securing them jobs.
